What is Healing Waters?

Healing Waters has two components:
This Comfort ministry supports those who have family members or friends that may be experiencing real feelings of same-sex attraction or are dealing with relational difficulties. This ministry offers comfort, encouragement and education using biblical-based materials and discussion.

Secondly, for those personally questioning or feeling confused about their real same sex attraction feelings, you will find that you can share from a wounded heart and find hope, healing, and assurance that you are not alone in your journey.*

The Potter’s Wheel*
This aspect of the Healing Waters ministry involves “meetings by appointment” where discoveries are being made about ourselves from the light of God’s Word, the Holy Bible.

God, as the “Master Potter” reveals new shapes, repairs, and creations in our lives as we let Him mold us into the human vessels He created us to be.

 Applications are required to be filled out and submitted for review and a personal interview is required for this aspect of our ministry.

Goals

The ultimate goal is to bring people into a deeper relationship with God. Through this deeper relationship comes the ability for personal issue relinquishment, breaking of spiritual bondages, restoration of personal identity and overcoming grief. Comfort and hope, peace and assurance of God’s love and concern are shared.

Format

“Healing Waters” and “The Potter’s Wheel” meetings are held at an undisclosed location. This is a confidential ministry.
“Healing Waters” meetings include Scripture “comfort verses” that are provided at each session with volunteer “round-table” discussions about current life issues.
“The Potter’s Wheel” ministry involves 10 week “personal discovery” lessons.

Healing Waters Ministry Team

The members in the Healing Waters Ministry Team are not professional, or licensed counselors or therapists. They are volunteers who have been trained to listen, encourage, support, pray, identify spiritual conditions and are committed to seeing people experience freedom and spiritual wholeness in their lives.

Only Jesus Christ through the power of His Holy Spirit can bring wholeness into your life. The Bible says the Holy Spirit is the real counselor. The Healing Waters ministry team uses the Bible and prayer for guidance and direction in helping people deal with their problems.
