Young Adult Ministry
Vineyard Church Young Adult Ministry is designed for Young Adults
between the ages of 18-35.
Our purpose is to know Christ and to love Him forever. We exist
to empower one another in relationship with Jesus Christ so that
together, with the entire church community, we may follow God’s
call to make a difference in the world. We desire to live, learn
and love as a community through fellowship, discipleship, accountability
and ministry.
What’s Going On?
Our Young Adult Leadership Team meets periodically to plan and
coordinate large group events each quarter. These events revolve
around our church’s Five E’s. Alongside
our Small Groups (see below for a list of Young Adult Small Groups)
we have large group gatherings to connect with the larger population
of Young Adults at Vineyard Church.
Please Note: Unless otherwise mentioned, assume that childcare
is NOT provided.
Brighton Campus / Young Adult Pastor
Kevin is the Brighton Campus and Young Adult Pastor. He and his wife Diane have been married since 1990 and have lived here in Kansas City since 1991. They met while Kevin was doing mission work one summer in college in upstate New York. Kevin was born and raised in the Houston, TX area and will always be a proud Texan at heart. He graduated with a religion degree from East Texas Baptist University and received his Master’s from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary here in KC. Kevin worked full time in the ministry for several years as Campus Minister here in the northland. He went on to serve as Associate Pastor of Students and Discipleship at Winnwood Baptist Church for nearly eight years. The past few years Kevin has enjoyed growing his own company, selling online. Diane and Kevin both enjoy traveling and baseball, especially traveling to watch baseball.

Day: Wednesday Time of day: Evening
Location: Cox Home Study Topic: Making Disciples of Jesus
Description: This 8-week small group led by Jeff & Noe Cox will be following the sermon Series "Making Disciples of Jesus." The group meets Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at Jeff & Noe's home beginning on Wednesday, September 21. This is a small group for young adults and childcare will not be provided.

Location: Stevenson's Home Study Topic: Making Disciples of Jesus
Description: This 8-week small group led by Erin McKahan and Sue Stevenson will be following the sermon Series "Making Disciples of Jesus." The group meets Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. at Sue Stevenson's home beginning on Wednesday, September 21. This is a small group for young adult singles and there is no childcare provided.

Location: Lunde's House Study Topic: Making Disciples of Jesus
Description: This 8-week small group led by Lindsey Malone & Jaimie Sue Robeson will be following the sermon Series "Making Disciples of Jesus." The group meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8 p.m. at Dustin Lunde's home beginning on Tuesday, September 20 This is a small group for young singles and childcare is not provided.
*Note- we will not meet on Sept 27, but we will extend the meetings to Nov 15th for 8 weeks total.*

Description: This 8-week small group led by Anique & Kamaron Gray will be following the sermon Series "Making Disciples of Jesus." The group meets Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at Anique & Kamaron's home beginning on Thursday, September 22. This is a small group for couples and childcare will not be provided.

Description: We are a young adult group with primarily married couples
who love to grow closer to God and each other each week. We focus on doing
life together and building lasting friendships. We support one another
and keep each other accountable in our daily lives!

Description: We meet together monthly to eat breakfast, worship God, learn from each other, pray for each other, and build each other up in love. We want to experience Christ, be filled with His Spirit, and learn more about living a life characterized by purity of heart.
