We seek to demonstrate God’s mercy in our community through acts of kindness both big and small.
Each year we minister to the poor by serving in practical ways.
- Last year over 1,100 people volunteered their time
- 6,600 families were fed through the food pantry
- 2,200 kids were given back-to-school supplies and Christmas gifts
- 2,000 Thanksgiving and Christmas meals were given away to local families.

Thousands of people every year come to Vineyard’s food pantry. With donations from church members and local grocery stores, we are able to help meet the need of the hungry.
The food pantry is open business days: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturdays from 9:00-11:30 a.m. We are open to anyone from anywhere. All you need is your drivers license.

Kindness To Go
Every 3 months, we provide thousands of small gifts for people in our church to give away to others in our community as a way to show God’s love in a practical way.
Vineyard Church pairs with ministries in order to help the prisoner, poor, and the orphan. Each of the ministries we partner with brings Jesus, resources and love to the lives of thousands. Every Christmas and Easter we take up special offerings to help these ministries. We believe that God can do big things with offerings. Read below about each ministry.
The Global Orphan Project is a global Orphan Care and Orphan Prevention ministry. They work with local churches to provide family-based care for orphaned and abandoned children in their communities. They also launch businesses and sponsor schools to help keep families together.
Convoy of Hope is a non-profit organization that has helped more than 70 million people throughout the world by sharing food, water, emergency supplies, agricultural know-how, and opportunities that empower people to live independent lives, free from poverty, disease and hunger. We serve with them at our annual outreach by partnering with urban churches and hundreds of volunteers so we are able to provide meals, clothing, medical care, shoes, and many more gifts to those in need in our urban core of Kansas City.
Beauty for Ashes Ministry is dedicated to reducing recidivism by helping inmates truly find freedom from what lead them to become incarcerated. We are committed to their healing while still in prison, and offer support upon release, encouraging their success afterwards.
