What denomination are you?
Since Jesus loves His whole church we try to maintain an attitude of grace towards all. We believe...
- in essentials - unity
- in non-essentials - liberty
- in all things - love
We stand firmly in the center of historical, orthodox Christian teaching. Out of loyalty to Christ and the gospel (good news) we've come to a number of convictions concerning the clear teaching of the Bible. At the same time we haven't included in our statement of faith much that can be legitimately debated by orthodox, sincere Christians. We do have boundaries, but our boundaries are broad and inclusive. On the spectrum of Christian churches:
- we are orthodox
- we are evangelical
- we are empowered evangelicals
I've never been to church before. Am I still welcome?
Vineyard was built as a place where anyone, no matter what their faith background or past, can learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. Come on in, grab some coffee, and relax.
Am I supposed to sing along to worship music? What if I don't know the song?
Worship music is one of the fastest ways to connect our hearts with God. You're welcome to listen, sing along, raise your hands, etc. If you don't know the song, we've got the lyrics up on the screen for you to follow along to.
With so many people at Vineyard, how do I find community?
We're all about small groups here at Vineyard. Small Groups are a great way to make friends and meet people. There are ongoing small groups, semester-long small groups, common interest groups... there's something for everyone! With every new season, we have a ton of new small groups starting up. You can find out more on our small group page or next time you're at church pick up a Grow Guide in the Welcome Center.
